Two factors user authentication
The RSA SecurID solution is designed to validate the identities of users by requiring the user to present a PIN (something they know) along with their token code (something they have) before granting access to valuable network resources. Each user is assigned a unique RSA SecurID authenticator which generates an unpredictable code every 60 secondes. The combination of the PIN and the token creates a password that is at the same time very easy to remember for the user and very difficult to guess for a malicious person.
